Pay Rate: $17-21/hour

Sign-On Bonus:
$1200 after one year of service.

Position Overview:
The Coating Line Technician is responsible for preparing and suspending components for coating production and/or packaging finished goods for shipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Properly suspend components for processing on the coating line.
  • Utilize compressed air to eliminate excess moisture from components.
  • Mask specific areas according to technical specifications to ensure they remain uncoated.
  • Examine, package, and document completed products for transfer to subsequent departments.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness in the coating area.
  • Monitor waste and rework processes.
  • Transport pallets to the coating line to ensure unobstructed pathways.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated manual dexterity in handling and manipulating components.
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Proficient in reading and writing English.
  • Blueprint reading skills are advantageous.

Experience and Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1 - 2 years of experience in manufacturing; experience in coating processes is preferred.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

Work Environment:

  • Work is conducted in a machine shop setting; exposure to dust, grease, and metal shavings is common.
  • Personal protective equipment required includes safety glasses, steel-toed footwear, and hearing protection.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work safely in a dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
