Manual QA Tester

About the Role:

The Quality Assurance Analyst will work closely with the ShiftCode Analytics IT department and QA analysts throughout the entire life cycle of projects, enhancements, and fixes. This will include, but is not limited to, involvement in requirements phase, conceptual design, testing, and coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with the end users of the products and implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize testing needs
  • Design and execute manual testing plans to ensure high-quality software releases
  • Develop and maintain detailed test cases and test scripts
  • Identify and report defects to the development team
  • Work closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution of defects
  • Provide second-level support for all help desk issues
  • Assist with the day-to-day operations of ShiftCode Analytics

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or related experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in QA testing
  • Ability to provide attention to detail, thoroughness, and ownership in all duties
  • Proficient in written and oral communications
  • Ability to learn and utilize various software platforms
  • Demonstrate the ability to prioritize and complete tasks based on established timelines
  • Effectively work and cooperate with other departments within ShiftCode Analytics
  • Knowledge of Agile approach to software development
  • Knowledge of JIRA or equivalent software package to log bug fixes and track project work through the software lifecycle
  • Strong knowledge of testing disciplines and methodologies
  • Proficiency in QA best practices and standards
  • Knowledge of web applications, client-server applications, and databases/SQL
  • Knowledge of qTest or other Test Case Management Software
