The Wound and Ostomy Certified Nurse plays a vital role in providing exceptional care to pediatric patients with complex wounds and ostomies. As a qualified nurse, you will be responsible for prevention, evaluation, assessment, treatment, and education of inpatient and outpatient wound and ostomy patients.
Key Responsibilities- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with all patient care disciplines.
- Participate in and coordinate the delivery of family-centered care and develop appropriate quality care metrics to measure and support patient safety efforts, patient/family experience, and staff performance.
- Act as a resource for all departments and functions as a professional nurse consultant/resource/educator for inpatient and outpatient referrals who present with complex and/or chronic wounds.
- Minimum one (1) year of experience coordinating this specific function in the healthcare industry.
- Four (4) years of experience in a clinical specialty.

- Graduation from an accredited school of Registered Nursing; Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Preferred: Master of Science degree in Nursing (MSN) or Master's degree in a healthcare-related field from an accredited school.
- Demonstrated knowledge of pediatric nursing, aseptic technique, and infection control standards.
- Ability to set program goals and monitor outcomes.
- Possesses strong problem-solving and strategic thinking skills.
- Demonstrates ability to work effectively with frontline staff through proven educational methods.
Medium - High energy level. Lift and carry 40-50 lbs. Push/pull +/- lbs. (Patients on bed, stretcher) Lateral transfer lbs. (ie. Patient).
