Position Title: Cleaner

Role Summary: Inch & Co is looking for a reliable and meticulous Cleaner to ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of shared spaces within our multifamily residential properties. This position plays a crucial role in creating a safe, inviting, and immaculate environment for residents, visitors, and staff. The ideal candidate should be self-driven, organized, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning and Upkeep:
    • Conduct daily cleaning of communal areas such as lobbies, corridors, elevators, staircases, lounges, fitness centers, laundry facilities, and mail areas.
    • Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, clean windows, and dust surfaces.
    • Dispose of trash and recycling, replace liners, and maintain waste management areas.
    • Ensure that restrooms in common areas are cleaned, stocked with supplies, and properly sanitized.
    • Disinfect high-touch areas including doorknobs, light switches, and handrails.
  • Exterior Maintenance:
    • Sweep and maintain cleanliness of entrances, walkways, parking lots, pools, and patios.
    • Monitor and empty outdoor trash receptacles and cigarette disposal units.
    • Perform light snow removal, leaf collection, and seasonal outdoor cleaning as required.
  • Safety and Reporting:
    • Identify and report any safety hazards, damages, or maintenance requirements (e.g., lightbulb changes, broken fixtures) to the Property Manager or Maintenance Supervisor.
    • Manage cleaning supplies and request inventory replenishment as necessary.
    • Follow safety protocols, including the correct use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
    • Assist with the cleaning and preparation of vacant units as directed by the Property Manager.
    • Support special events or additional cleaning projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in cleaning or janitorial roles preferred, particularly in residential or commercial environments.
  • Ability to follow directions and work with minimal oversight.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
  • Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks, stand for long periods, and lift/move cleaning equipment.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with residents and staff.
  • Willingness to work on weekends or holidays as required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Capable of bending, reaching, and performing tasks that require manual dexterity.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs for extended durations.
