Job Description:

Loss Prevention Officer

Third Shift - Saturday to Sunday or Sunday - Thursday (Working days and hours are subject to change)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversees, observes, and supervises employees entering and exiting the building.
  • Conducts Safety/Hazard/Security audits throughout the facility.
  • Monitors the hazard materials storeroom and ensures a clean and safe environment.
  • Supervises the disposition of damaged items and ensures they are properly handled.
  • Conducts general investigations, inventory counts, and cycle counts to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
  • Uses computers and office equipment to support daily tasks.
  • Must read Standard Operating Procedures, hear fire/security alarms and phones, and be able to monitor CCTV.
  • Provides training to other employees to promote a culture of safety and excellence.
  • Performs housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability and willingness to work non-traditional shifts and hours.
  • Experience with CCTV preferred.
  • Degree in Criminal Justice or 3-5 years of practical experience in Security, Loss Prevention, or Law Enforcement preferred.
  • Able to work a varied schedule to include early mornings, swing shift, nights, weekends, and holidays when necessary.
  • CPR/First Aide Certified or able to obtain certification through company provided training.
