Crane Field Service Technician

Bemana Power Recruitment is seeking a skilled Crane Field Service Technician to join our team in Chicago, IL. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert technical support and maintenance services for our clients' heavy lift equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on gantry cranes, railjacks, forklifts, welders, service trucks, and other heavy lift material handling equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical, hydraulic, diesel, and mechanical issues with heavy lift equipment.
  • Provide training and technical knowledge to clients on the full range of equipment.
  • Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance activities to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Support customers by effectively communicating with them and internal stakeholders as needed.
  • Evaluate and recommend required repairs to ensure equipment is returned to optimal working condition.
  • Document work orders and reports clearly and accurately.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations, policies, and procedures to achieve a goal of zero incidents and injuries.
  • Assist in delivering required training to coworkers.
Requirements:
  • High School graduate or equivalent, plus a minimum of 4+ years of experience in the service and repair of industrial equipment.
  • Expert knowledge of hydraulics, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Field-related certificates and endorsements are positively reviewed.
  • Ability to read variable schematic logic for both low/high voltage electrical and a variety of hydraulics.
  • Travel of 50%+ required.
