Job Summary

This role is responsible for performing skilled maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, and other physical structures. The successful candidate will make repairs to tools and equipment, maintain and install electrical systems and fixtures, and measure, cut, bond, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Dismantle machines, equipment, or devices to access and remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand tools, or power tools.
  • Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary.
  • Repair machines, equipment, or structures using tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, or equipment such as precision measuring instruments, electrical or electronic testing devices.

Requirements

  • No education required.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience required.
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
