The Asset Servicing, Custody division within Global Fund Services comprises various service teams that manage over 1,400 client-appointed investment manager relationships and more than 400 self-managed client relationships across North America.

The Custody Services Team Supervisor reports directly to the Custody Services Manager and is accountable for the daily oversight of a custody service team, ensuring superior service delivery for client-appointed Investment Managers (IM) and/or separately managed asset owner relationships in North America.

In collaboration with the Custody Services Manager, the team supervisor is responsible for nurturing these relationships, delivering daily services, managing operational risks, liaising with internal partners to resolve issues, and mentoring and developing their service team.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage the daily operations of the service team, including workload distribution and performance tracking against set objectives.
2. Mentor and support team members, implementing the performance management process effectively.

3. Collaborate with the Custody Services Manager to identify training needs, develop career advancement plans, and analyze team performance metrics.

4. Enhance team capabilities through a focused recruitment process, emphasizing diversity and inclusion.

5. Cultivate and strengthen client and/or Investment Manager relationships by:

  • Assisting in the resolution of complex issues
  • Acting as a primary escalation point
  • Communicating and upholding service standards to team members
  • Allocating resources to support client relationships

6. Identify and document service, efficiency, and product gaps for Investment Managers/clients; collaborate with IM Relationship Managers to ensure solutions are developed, supported, and communicated internally.

7. Share risk management responsibilities with the service team by adhering to control policies and integrating them into team culture.

Qualifications/Experience:
- Relevant experience in custody client servicing or asset servicing operations is preferred.
- In-depth technical knowledge of custody operations, including trade and cash lifecycle management.
- Experience in leadership or direct people management and development.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment where adaptability and multitasking are essential for success.
- Highly flexible and adaptable to change.

Critical thinking, analytical problem-solving, and organizational skills are essential for identifying and resolving issues, as well as for personal development.

Effective communication skills are required.
