Research Areas
  • Fusion Science and Technology: Understanding spherical torus plasma regimes, advancing stellarators, and developing liquid metal walls.
  • Discovery Plasma Science: Exploring fundamental plasma processes, advancing multi-messenger astronomy, and developing plasma propulsion techniques.
  • Applied Materials and Sustainability Sciences: Advancing plasma processing science, using machine learning for material discoveries, and understanding electrochemical and plasma-assisted catalysis.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and publish innovative research results relevant to PPPL's scientific and research diversification goals.
Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in plasma physics, fusion science, engineering, computer science, physical chemistry, applied mathematics, or a related field.
  • Experience in topical areas aligning with PPPL's mission and scientific goals.
  • Evidence of academic achievement and leadership potential.
