Job Overview:
- We are seeking a professional with a strong analytical background to assist in identifying, designing, and implementing innovative automated auditing solutions across various audit teams, particularly focusing on Global Markets, Global Banking, and Market Risk sectors. This role requires collaboration with audit professionals to pinpoint automation opportunities and work alongside development teams to create tools that enhance audit processes.
- As part of a dedicated team, you will engage with audit personnel ranging from Senior Audit Directors to Senior Auditors, covering automation initiatives for all audit activities globally. This position emphasizes the US Corporate Audit teams while collaborating with colleagues in other regions. You will report to the Senior Quantitative Finance Manager for Market Risk and Automation, contributing to a team recognized for pioneering automation tools in Corporate Audit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer guidance and support to audit teams in recognizing new automation prospects.
- Independently identify and develop use cases for automation tools, conducting proof of concept evaluations.
- Assist in drafting and managing business and functional requirements to transform automation concepts into practical automated solutions for audit testing and risk oversight.
- Oversee and collaborate with development teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of automation capabilities.
- Evaluate skill and infrastructure requirements in conjunction with the development teams based on the anticipated automation tools needed to support audit functions.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Possesses a foundational understanding of the software development lifecycle and the role of business analysts within it.
- Has insight into the objectives of internal audit and how automation can enhance risk monitoring and control testing.
- Demonstrates a keen interest in exploring and assessing new automation developments for their applicability in auditing.
- Capable of translating automation concepts into actionable business and functional requirements for developers.
- Quickly grasps and utilizes metadata from commonly used data sources to assist developers in refining automation reports to meet audit objectives.
- Exhibits strong communication skills, able to articulate the benefits of new automation tools and provide training to auditors.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience in audit, business analysis, and global markets/market risk.
- Practical experience in developing programmatic solutions to improve productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness in business routines.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Global Market, Global Banking, and/or Market Risk.
- Proficiency in coding languages such as Python, VBA, C++, and SQL.
- Experience with data analytics applications.
