Position Overview:
The Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) plays a critical role in delivering exceptional patient care within the surgical environment. This position requires expertise in assessing and managing the health status of patients undergoing surgical procedures, ensuring a safe and effective care experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a Circulator and/or Scrub Nurse during surgical and procedural cases, handling instruments and supplies with precision.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients, reviewing medical records and ensuring all pre-operative requirements are met.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to provide comprehensive nursing care throughout all phases of surgical procedures.
  • Implement Universal Protocol by verifying patient identity, surgical procedure, and ensuring proper site marking.
  • Monitor patient conditions during surgery, documenting interventions and maintaining a sterile environment.
  • Assist in room turnovers and cleaning processes between surgical cases.
  • Demonstrate clinical proficiency in surgical skills and maintain a strong sterile conscience.
  • Support post-operative recovery as the second Registered Nurse during the recovery phase.
  • Participate in the cleaning and sterilization of instruments for after-hours cases.
  • Ensure efficient use of hospital resources and maintain accessibility of necessary supplies and equipment.
Qualifications:
Applicants must possess a minimum of an Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution. A year of experience in a specialty or acute care setting is preferred.

Licensure and Certifications:
  • Active Registered Nurse license in the State of Colorado.
  • Current CPR, ACLS, and PALS or PEARS certifications.
