The Surveillance Systems Technician is responsible for the setup, upkeep, and troubleshooting of all surveillance apparatus at Four Winds Casino.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Possesses a comprehensive understanding of all Gaming Commission regulations and ensures compliance across the facility.
- Handles the installation and maintenance of all Analog/IP Cameras, DVR/NVR systems, Surveillance Workstations, and Display Monitors.
- Conducts wiring, labeling, and installation of connectors on various cabling types and cross-connect panels.
- Collaborates with senior Systems Engineers regarding the specific tools and materials required for assigned tasks.
- Follows preventative maintenance protocols to reduce system malfunctions.
- Maintains operational integrity of surveillance devices by supporting workstations, decoders, and cameras within the network.
- Examines wiring connected to all surveillance devices, identifying and rectifying potential issues or hazards.
- Effectively communicates any discrepancies to management.
- Documents and tracks inventory of equipment and supplies to ensure availability of spare parts.
- Participates in regular departmental meetings.
- Responsible for the accuracy and completeness of departmental records and reports.
- Maintains an organized and tidy workspace, including Surveillance Storage Areas and IDF Closets located throughout the property.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
A High School diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
One year of technical experience in casino surveillance, or an Associate's degree in a related field (Electronics, Electrical, or Network Engineering) or military electronics training is preferred.
Completion of the Dallmeier Systems training program within six months of hire or transfer is mandatory.
SPECIAL SKILLS:
Familiarity with closed-circuit television systems is preferred.
Excellent technical and communication skills are essential.
Experience with gaming surveillance technology and knowledge of cabling standards is advantageous.
This position requires a Level 2 Gaming License.
LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents, including technical reports, schematics, and CAD drawings. Ability to respond to inquiries and complaints from guests or regulatory bodies. Capable of effectively presenting information in one-on-one and small group settings.
MATHEMATICAL ABILITY:
Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations and work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Proficient understanding and application of Ohm's Law.
REASONING SKILLS:
Ability to identify problems, gather data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Capable of interpreting a wide variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagrammatic form and managing multiple variables. Ability to leverage technical expertise to meet the Surveillance department's needs and effectively communicate technical information to non-technical staff.
