We are currently seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for our Assisted Living community. Our facility is situated in a serene environment, providing a perfect backdrop for delivering exceptional care.

As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will have the opportunity to positively impact the lives of older adults each day. Your role will be crucial in enhancing our residents' quality of life and providing reassurance to their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and guide the nursing assistants on your unit, ensuring high standards of care and completion of tasks.
  • Assist in training new LPNs and nursing assistants, reinforcing care standards to maintain excellence.
  • Provide clear explanations of nursing procedures to staff, ensuring ongoing training and understanding.
  • Maintain regular communication with the Nurse Manager or Director of Nursing regarding resident observations and concerns.
  • Monitor and assess residents' health and emotional conditions, promptly notifying appropriate personnel of significant changes.
  • Deliver direct patient care, including procedures such as catheter placement, colostomy care, and wound dressing.
  • Participate in shift reports to ensure accurate information is shared about residents.
  • Assist with the admission and orientation of new residents, ensuring physician orders are accurately communicated.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited practical/vocational nursing program.
  • Current, valid LPN license in good standing.
  • Minimum of one year of nursing experience.
  • Commitment to professional nursing standards and principles.
