MRI Imaging Specialist

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Allegheny Health Network. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing MRI imaging procedures with a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities- Position patients and perform MRI imaging procedures with minimal supervision.
- Analyze imaging results and identify quality issues, taking corrective action as needed.
- Enter, transmit, and report scan results accurately and efficiently.
- Review patient history and physician orders, educating patients on procedures and equipment as necessary.
- Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within scope of practice, monitoring patient condition and reporting changes as appropriate.
- Prepare equipment and supplies, selecting optimal exposure factors and imaging parameters.
- Implement safety standards and perform quality control procedures on equipment, troubleshooting and resolving issues as needed.
- Associate's degree or certification from a technical school, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) certification, or equivalent.
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Certification required within 18 months of hire.
- CPR certification.
- Prior experience working as a MRI Technologist.
- ARRT (MR) certification.
