The Starting Hourly Rate is $19.50 USD per hour, with a Pay Range of $19.50 USD - $29.25 USD per hour.

ABOUT ASSETS PROTECTION
The Assets Protection (AP) team is dedicated to safeguarding our guests, team members, and brand integrity. This team plays a crucial role in crisis management and theft prevention, ensuring that our products are readily available for our guests.

As a Security Officer at Target, you will gain valuable experience and skills, including:

  • Utilizing intelligence-driven strategies to maintain safety for both team members and guests.
  • Gaining expertise in crisis management and crowd control, providing assistance to guests and staff.
  • Developing de-escalation techniques and participating in merchandise recovery efforts.
  • Leveraging Target's surveillance systems effectively.
  • Documenting incidents accurately using industry-standard case management tools.

Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Engaging with guests and team members at the store entrance and throughout the sales floor, assisting them in locating products.
  • Promoting a culture of safety by ensuring secure practices are upheld throughout the store.
  • Responding to security incidents and documenting them accurately.
  • Utilizing escalation protocols to address guest concerns and maintain a secure environment.
  • Conducting merchandise recoveries and providing support in apprehensions, adhering strictly to AP policies.
  • Performing receipt checks for high-value items to prevent theft.
  • Submitting detailed reports for all incidents in compliance with AP guidelines.
  • Understanding and effectively using the video surveillance system.
  • Training team members on merchandise protection strategies and operational best practices.
  • Implementing shortage action plans to minimize losses in key areas.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe environment for guests and team members.
  • Delivering exceptional service that meets guest needs.
  • Fostering a culture of ethical behavior, safety, and compliance.
  • Performing additional duties as required by business needs.

  • Handle and move merchandise safely, including lifting items up to 40 pounds.
  • Maintain a flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
