Join Our Team as a HIL Test Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled HIL Test Engineer to join our team at LER TechForce. As a HIL Test Engineer, you will be responsible for developing test specifications, plans, cases, and suites aligned with requirements, as well as performing MIL, SIL, and HIL testing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing test specifications, plans, cases, and suites aligned with requirements
  • Performing MIL, SIL, and HIL testing
  • Application software controls and performance qualification
  • Embedded controls validation
  • Electronic braking system commissioning testing
  • Evaluating various HIL systems and determining which HIL system is best for electronic brake testing
  • Writing electrical and electronic specifications for electronic control units and test systems
  • Drafting harness requirements for ECU and HIL testing
  • Troubleshooting software issues and creating requirements to fix
  • Developing software or models for testing purposes
Requirements:
  • College or university degree in Engineering or other relevant technical disciplines
  • Experience with electro pneumatic braking systems
  • Previous experience in developing test specifications, plans, cases, and suites aligned with requirements, as well as performing MIL, SIL, and HIL testing
  • Ability to learn and write electrical and electronic specifications for electronic control units and test systems
  • Previous experience in drafting harness requirements for ECU and HIL testing and collaborating with technicians and junior engineers on development
  • Experience with rapid prototyping and production electronic control units
  • Working experience in automotive tools and communication bus systems and protocols
  • Capable of assessing HIL systems based on electrical and electronic requirements
  • Experience with at least one major HIL system
  • Competent in identifying software bugs during testing and effectively communicating with developers to address them
  • Foundational experience in software development toolchains
  • MS office suit solid knowledge
  • Humble and teachable
  • Effective and collaborative team player
  • Good communicator - written and verbal

  • Automotive engine experience
  • Hybrid vehicle experience
  • Windchill RV & S / PTC Integrity experience
  • Transmission experience
  • Product Failure Mode Avoidance experience
