Position Overview:
The Facility Maintenance Specialist is responsible for executing essential maintenance, groundskeeping, and cleaning duties to ensure the facility remains clean and sanitary.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of indoor spaces, which includes tasks such as light dusting, vacuuming, and window cleaning.
2. Oversee the upkeep of outdoor areas, including mowing lawns, raking leaves, minor snow removal, and litter collection.
3. Empty trash receptacles throughout the premises and replace trash bags as necessary. Sort recyclables appropriately.
4. Address basic maintenance requests, such as changing light bulbs and rearranging furniture and boxes.
5. Order and manage supplies, ensuring the storeroom is clean and well-stocked.
6. Receive and organize deliveries.
7. Clean and maintain restrooms, ensuring all supplies like paper towels, toilet paper, soap dispensers, and toilet seat covers are adequately stocked.

Qualifications:
- Partial High School education; a High School Diploma or G.E.D. is preferred.
- Strong sanitation practices.
- Excellent customer service skills; proactively seeks to assist customers and colleagues. Ability to identify issues and communicate them effectively to management.

Physical and Mental Requirements:
- Frequent movement throughout the facility to complete tasks.
- Ability to bend, lift, carry, and reach above shoulder height regularly, with the capacity to lift, carry, and push weights of up to 30 lbs. regularly, 40 lbs. frequently, and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
- Capability to stand and/or walk for the entire workday. Work outdoors in various weather conditions, including high heat, humidity, cold, snow, and rain.
- Regularly climb stairs and occasionally use ladders. Ability to refuel mowers.
- Proficient in reading and writing work-related documents in English.
- Clear speech recognition and articulation, enabling effective communication with customers and coworkers in English.

Equipment Proficiency:
- Must be able to operate and maintain standard custodial equipment, including lawn mowers, weed whackers, leaf blowers, and vacuum cleaners.
- Familiarity with cleaning supplies such as detergents, chemicals, mops, brooms, scourers, and hand towels.
