About the Role:

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a highly skilled Senior Care Manager - Medication Expert to join our team. As a Medication Care Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of care for our residents by administering medication and treatments in a safe and organized manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer medications and treatments to residents according to their individualized care plans.
  • Review and document medication administration records to ensure accurate tracking and compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain confidentiality of resident information, including medication lists and medical histories.
  • Collaborate with Resident Care Directors and Wellness Nurses to ensure effective communication and coordination of care.
  • Participate in daily Cross Over meetings to review resident updates and discuss care plan adjustments.
  • Audit medication carts and ensure they are properly stocked and maintained.
  • Conduct Service and Health Updates as directed by Resident Care Directors.
  • Transcribe orders and maintain accurate documentation of resident care.
  • Partner with community teams to ensure compliance with OSHA/British Columbia Workers Compensation Act and Occupational Health and Safety Regulation requirements.

Requirements:

  • LPN, LVN, or state/province specific licensed nurse credential.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Ability to react calmly in difficult situations and make decisions in the best interest of residents.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Previous experience working with seniors preferred.
