Job Overview

Anchor Talent & Consulting is seeking a seasoned tax professional to join our team as a Senior Corporate Tax Specialist. This role will involve ensuring accurate preparation, review, and filing of state and federal tax returns, adhering to all applicable regulations and deadlines.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of GAAP and cost/project accounting, as well as experience in conducting in-depth audits and forensic investigations of previous years tax returns. They will also be able to identify areas of improvement and develop internal controls and processes as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate preparation, review, and filing of state and federal tax returns.
  • Conduct in-depth audits and forensic investigations of previous years tax returns.
  • Stay up-to-date on changes to tax laws and regulations.
  • Work closely with internal teams to streamline data management, collection, reporting, and analysis.
  • Provide insights into potential tax-saving opportunities.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years accounting/finance experience in manufacturing/production industry.
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting / Finance.
  • CPA Required.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and cost/project accounting.
  • Able to identify areas of improvement and develop internal controls and processes as needed.

  • Compensation: This is a consultant role, open to discussion on 1099, W-2 or fractional support.
  • Remote role: Ideally would like candidates in Texas to interact and meet with executive leadership.
