About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Psiatrist to join our team at Acadia Healthcare. As a key member of our behavioral health team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and treatment in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnosis and Treatment: Conduct thorough assessments and develop treatment plans for patients with mental health disorders, including substance use disorders, trauma-related issues, mood and anxiety disorders, and co-occurring disorders.
- Clinical Services: Provide individual and group therapy sessions, as well as medication management and other interventions as needed.
- Medical Protocols: Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, as well as corporate and facility policies and procedures.
- Medical Information: Review and document patient medical information, including medical history, current medications, and treatment plans.
- Patient Evaluation: Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to identify mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders.
- Treatment and Care: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications as needed.
- Documentation: Accurately document patient information, including treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
Requirements:
- Education: Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) required.
- Experience: One or more years of post-graduate degree practice preferred.
- Licensure: Licensed in the state in which the facility(s) operate.
- Certifications: Board certification in psychiatry and current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions.
