About the Role
Professional Safety Solutions, LLC is seeking a qualified Electrical Owners Representative for significant solar energy projects across the United States. This role involves overseeing the construction and installation of electrical systems for utility-scale solar farms. The Electrical Owners Representative will be accountable for ensuring that the electrical infrastructure, including solar panels, inverters, transformers, switchgear, and transmission lines, is installed according to specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the execution of the electrical scope of work, ensuring compliance with contract specifications and maintaining safety and quality standards throughout the contractor's operations. Document daily observations.
- Evaluate electrical designs and specifications in partnership with the engineering team and relevant stakeholders.
- Work closely with the construction team to guarantee that the electrical systems are installed per the project timeline and budget, adhering to safety and regulatory requirements.
- Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical equipment and systems, including managing electricians and subcontractors.
- Collaborate with project leaders, such as the construction manager, to ensure seamless integration of the electrical systems with other solar plant components.
- Verify that all electrical systems undergo proper testing and commissioning, ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed and archived.
- Manage changes or variations in the electrical scope of work, effectively communicating these adjustments to all relevant parties.
- Ensure that all required permits and approvals for the electrical systems are secured, and that all regulatory standards are met.
- Monitor the performance of electrical systems during construction, identifying potential issues or risks that could impact project progress or quality.
- Confirm adherence to existing quality control measures for electrical systems, ensuring all work meets high-quality standards.
- Provide technical support and guidance to the project team, ensuring all members are informed of electrical requirements and standards.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in overseeing the installation of electrical systems on large-scale solar farm projects, ensuring compliance with contract specifications and monitoring contractor performance.
- Comprehensive knowledge of electrical design, installation, and testing standards, codes, and regulations.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Experience with project management tools and software.
