Responsibilities:

* Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with product purchasing, answering questions, and resolving issues
* Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including receiving, stocking, and merchandising art materials
* Assist with daily operations, including opening and closing the store, processing transactions, and handling returns and exchanges
* Maintain accurate inventory levels and assist with stock checks
* Support inventory management by accurately labeling and counting inventory
* Be aware of special sales and promotions and communicate them to customers
* Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions, as well as redeem gift certificates and coupons
* Create invoices for store charges and maintain a professional demeanor when interacting with customers and colleagues
* Assist with receiving and stocking merchandise, including matching receiving work sheets with shipped product
* Prepare merchandising displays and maintain a visually appealing store environment
* Maintain a professional demeanor when interacting with superiors, coworkers, and customers
* Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager

Requirements:

* Possess excellent customer service skills and a background in art materials and retail sales
* Demonstrate trustworthiness and good judgment
* Demonstrate the ability to learn procedures and follow directions with confidence, cooperation, and flexibility
* Must be able to multi-task, be self-directed, and detail-oriented
* Possess stamina and be computer literate
* Possess basic arithmetic skills
