Division Director of General Pediatrics

The University of Virginia Department of Pediatrics and Division of General Pediatrics invite applications for Division Director of General Pediatrics. This position is open to academic pediatric generalists at the rank of Associate or Full Professor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate clinical, academic, and research activities.
  • Develop and implement divisional vision and goals.
  • Support faculty development and oversee training programs.
  • Maintain excellence in clinical practice and patient outcomes.
  • Actively participate in clinical service.
  • Preferably hold an active research program.

The Division Director will lead the faculty in all clinical and academic mission areas, including clinical service, education of trainees at all levels, research program development, and administrative activities of all divisional programs.

Requirements:

  • Established academic generalist with strong leadership skills.
  • Active research program desirable but not required.
  • Ability to actively participate in clinical service.
