Position Overview:

CorsoCare is seeking a dedicated Hospice Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. This hybrid role offers a balance of in-office and remote work, providing competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the QAPI Coordinator/Administrator in reviewing clinical documentation to ensure compliance with Medicare Guidelines and Conditions of Participation (COPs).
  • Participate in the planning and consultative needs of staff, promoting continuous quality improvement.
  • Conduct audits of patient medical records to verify adherence to federal, state, and local regulations, as well as accreditation standards.
  • Chair the QAPI committee, ensuring timely reporting of findings and progress to the QAPI Coordinator/Administrator.
  • Serve as a resource for colleagues, fostering a collaborative environment and addressing any issues related to patient care or employee well-being.

Qualifications:
  • Registered Nurse, licensed in the state of Michigan.
  • A minimum of three to five years of nursing experience, with a preference for hospice experience.
  • Two years of experience in Hospice QAPI is preferred.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records is advantageous.
  • Strong initiative and independent judgment are essential.

Adhere to established policies and procedures while promoting high standards of conduct and cooperation among colleagues. Maintain confidentiality and safeguard all patient-related information. Regular attendance and punctuality are expected, along with participation in continuing education programs to enhance professional development.
