Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Railroad Track Assembler to join our team at Progress Rail Services. As a key member of our assembly department, you will be responsible for the manual assembly and building of railroad tracks and turnouts using various tools and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, drilling machines, finish grinders, and torque machines to assemble railroad tracks and turnouts.
  • Use measuring devices to ensure accuracy and read blueprints consistently.
  • Maintain quality and production standards, ensuring that all assembled tracks and turnouts meet our high standards.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, meeting production deadlines and maintaining a clean and safe work area.
Requirements
  • 1 year of manufacturing experience, preferably in a similar role.
  • Ability to read a measuring tape and measure to the 32nd inch.
  • Good attention to detail and ability to work accurately.
  • Good attendance and ability to work overtime if necessary.
  • Ability to work outside in various climates.
