Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Critical Care Nurse Specialist to join our team at Ochsner Health. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and make a real difference in the lives of our patients.

About the Role

This position will involve providing high-quality patient care in our Med/Surg & Telemetry unit, utilizing your expertise in critical care nursing to assess, plan, and implement individualized care plans for patients with complex medical needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessing patient needs and developing effective care plans to meet those needs
  • Providing education and support to patients and their families to promote optimal health outcomes
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and improve patient outcomes
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current registered nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
  • 1+ year of experience in critical care nursing, preferably in a hospital setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Benefits

Ochsner Health offers a competitive salary package, including a base salary of $$85,000 - $115,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as comprehensive benefits, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
