Job Summary

The Supervisor - Nutrition & Dining is responsible for managing the shift, including production, service, and retail operations, to ensure the highest quality service to patients, visitors, employees, and guests while adhering to all regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staff supervision and management
  • Ensuring adherence to local, state, and federal safety and sanitation codes
  • Vendor management, including periodic review to ensure highest quality and value
  • Catering services and management
  • Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, including End of Month and End of Year documentation and recordkeeping, billing for catering, floor stocks, and other interdepartmental transfers
  • Food cost analysis and management
  • Effective communication and demonstration of team-based management
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) using food service management software
  • Retail and cash handling
  • Flexibility in assuming other appropriate responsibilities
Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year of supervisor-level experience in food service, preferably in an acute care setting
  • Licensure not required
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2-year degree in Nutrition, Food Service Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • RD, CDM, CFPP preferred
  • Experience working in a healthcare environment
  • Servsafe or Food Safety Manager certified
  • Cooking experience
Physical Requirements
  • Standing for long periods of time, lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, pushing, pulling, and reaching
  • May be exposed to areas of extreme heat or cold
  • Primary work location may include loud noises, wet and slippery conditions, exposure to sharp objects
Travel Requirements
  • 100% Onsite
Compensation Disclosure
  • $26.63 per hour
