Job Title: Food Service Supervisor

Cayuga Health System is seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for managing the shift, including production, service, and retail operations, to ensure the highest quality service to our patients, visitors, employees, and guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise staff to ensure efficient and effective food service operations
  • Ensure adherence to all local, state, and federal safety and sanitation codes
  • Manage vendors to ensure highest quality and value
  • Coordinate catering services
  • Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable, including end-of-month and end-of-year documentation and recordkeeping
  • Conduct food cost analysis
  • Communicate effectively with team members and demonstrate team-based management
  • Utilize food service management software as a subject matter expert
  • Manage retail and cash handling operations
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 1 year of supervisor-level experience in food service, preferably in an acute care setting
  • 2-year degree in Nutrition, Food Service Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • Preferred qualifications include RD, CDM, CFPP, experience working in a healthcare environment, Servsafe or Food Safety Manager certification, and cooking experience
Physical Requirements:
  • Standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, pushing, pulling, and reaching
  • May be exposed to extreme heat or cold, loud noises, wet and slippery conditions, and sharp objects
Compensation:
  • $26.63 per hour
