Intake Coordinator

Bridgewell is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Intake Coordinator to join our clinical team. As an Intake Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth registration of new referrals to our clinical programs, including opening charts in our electronic health record system and verifying client information.
Key Responsibilities- Register new referrals to clinical programs and ensure timely entry of client information into our electronic health record system.
- Verify insurance and demographic data, and update as necessary in conjunction with Patient Care Coordinators.
- Review billing error reports and correct any missing or incorrect information leading to billing errors.
- Monitor Prior Authorizations and ensure clinicians are in compliance.
- Process new client registrations, create patient records, and verify insurance eligibility and benefits.
- Enter initial authorized visits and monitor tracking of Prior Authorizations.
- Collaborate with program staff to ensure accurate and up-to-date insurance information.
- Reconcile daily deposits and identify and correct any insurance discrepancies or changes.
- A high school degree or GED is required.
- An associate's or bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Two years of experience working in a medical or behavioral health practice environment in a similar position is required.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
- Detail-oriented and able to work independently.
- Strong computer skills.
- Ability to interact with patients and families with sensitivity and compassion.
