Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, the Radiologic Technologist is tasked with preparing patients for diagnostic imaging procedures by clearly explaining the process and positioning them appropriately to obtain high-quality images. The Technologist will proficiently operate imaging equipment to generate detailed cross-sectional images of patients' anatomical structures.

  • Completes necessary requisitions for scheduled exams promptly and accurately.
  • Conducts diagnostic Radiographic/Fluoroscopic/CT examinations on patients, both in the imaging department and using portable equipment.
  • Demonstrates the capability to administer IV contrast media when required.
  • Performs a variety of imaging examinations, reconstructions, and printing protocols.
  • Identifies and troubleshoots mechanical and electronic equipment issues to ensure optimal operation of imaging machines.
  • Communicates the procedure to patients and addresses any inquiries regarding the imaging process.
  • Safely transports patients to and from the imaging department as necessary.
  • Orders and maintains adequate supplies for imaging procedures.
  • Participates in mandatory training sessions and orientations.
  • Collaborates closely with nursing staff to foster positive relationships that enhance patient care.
Qualifications

Minimum qualifications include:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist (excluding educational training).
  • ARRT or CMRT certification is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained by the start date.
  • Must maintain current Continuing Education in all areas of licensure.

Preferred qualifications that may enhance your success:

  • Experience with facility-specific imaging equipment is advantageous.
