Position Overview:
Join our dedicated team at Akron Children's Hospital as a Radiologic Imaging Specialist. This part-time role offers 20 hours per week, focusing on weekend shifts. A competitive sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct comprehensive radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations, ensuring high-quality imaging for diagnostic evaluation tailored to patient needs.
2. Manage clerical tasks within Radiology Information Systems (RIS), Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS), and hospital computer platforms as necessary.
3. Provide support across various Radiology roles within the department as required.
4. Exhibit the expertise and compassion necessary to address the physical, psychological, and educational needs of patients of all ages.
5. Supervise and mentor radiography students affiliated with our program.
6. Adhere to all quality assurance and quality control protocols for imaging equipment.
7. Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:
Technical Skills:
1. Previous experience in general radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures is preferred.
2. Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse organizational levels is essential.
3. Experience in a healthcare setting is advantageous.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) or similar applications is required, with familiarity in RIS, PACS, EPIC, or related software being a plus.

Education and Experience:
1. Must be a graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program and registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
2. Current Radiologic Technologist licensure and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA are mandatory.
3. A minimum of two years of relevant experience is preferred.

Work Environment:
This position is onsite, allowing for direct interaction with patients and colleagues in a supportive healthcare environment.
