Role Responsibilities and Qualifications

As an Emergency Room Nurse Supervisor, you will work under the guidance of the unit director, taking charge of all operations within the unit during your assigned shifts. Collaborating with the management team, you will ensure the continuous evaluation of the quality of patient care delivered in the unit.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assessing, monitoring, documenting, and reporting changes in patient conditions.
  • Maintaining precise and comprehensive patient records.
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals to evaluate, plan, implement, and adjust care strategies based on patient responses.
  • Delegating nursing responsibilities appropriately while retaining accountability for patient outcomes.
  • Providing tailored education to patients, families, and caregivers throughout the care continuum.
  • Upholding safety and infection control standards in patient care delivery.

Required qualifications include:

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • Active RN licensure in Tennessee or a compact state.
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
