Staffing Coordinator Job Description

Join Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation - West (West Orange) as a Staffing Coordinator and play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our inpatient rehabilitation hospital.

About the Role:

  • Develop and maintain accurate schedules for nursing staff using When I Work, adhering to established guidelines and local practices.
  • Coordinate new staff orientations and training on the When I Work program.
  • Review daily time schedules for nursing units, ensuring proper coverage and requirements for staff, and notify managers/supervisors of any inconsistencies.
  • Maintain payroll records for nursing department employees, collaborating with nursing managers/supervisors and human resources.
  • Coordinate personnel assignments to areas consistent with their qualifications.
  • Forecast staffing needs to avoid emergencies and ensure safe care for all admissions.
  • Maintain agency files, ensuring all agency staff are oriented, evaluated, and meet the same standards as employed staff.
  • Reconcile agency invoices with schedules and process invoices and accruals accurately and timely.
  • Provide administrative support to Nursing Leadership and other hospital managers as needed.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in computer applications required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of three years administrative experience preferred.
  • Previous hospital/staffing experience preferred.
