Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the division's operations to ensure optimal performance.
  • Maintain accountability for business unit performance, safety standards, and profitability.
  • Monitor budgets and operational metrics, identifying areas for process improvement.
  • Implement safety measures to comply with company and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with the Health and Safety team to conduct thorough investigations of incidents and ensure proper follow-up actions.
  • Work in conjunction with the HR team to address personnel needs, including recruitment, coaching, and performance evaluations.
  • Engage in regular P&L reviews to ensure budget adherence and develop strategies for efficient resource utilization.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to supervisors and direct reports within the division.
  • Lead Health and Safety meetings and train staff on safety protocols.
  • Review employee timecards for accuracy on a daily basis.
  • Assist in developing business plans for new projects and initiatives.
  • Participate in meetings as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures among all employees.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • A university diploma or degree in business or equivalent experience is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years in an Operations Manager capacity is essential.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge in the Environmental Waste Management sector.
