Job Title: Cytogenetics Technologist

LabCorp is seeking a highly skilled Cytogenetics Technologist to join our team in Miami, FL. As a Cytogenetics Technologist, you will be responsible for performing routine cytogenetic tests and molecular cytogenetics tests independently with accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform cytogenetic tests and molecular cytogenetics tests with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Develop new testing procedures and protocols.
  • Provide technical expertise to technologists and support staff.
  • Monitor the performance of equipment and maintain adequate levels of inventory.
  • Participate in reviewing and revising lab manuals and procedures.
  • Assist in preparing the lab for safety inspections and laboratory surveys.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in biological, chemical, or medical sciences from an accredited college or university.
  • Certified by the National Credentialing Agency (NCA) as a Clinical Laboratory Specialist in Cytogenetics (CLSp-CG).
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure by the State of Florida as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist.
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience as a Technologist in Cytogenetics.
