MRI Technologist Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Kaiser Permanente's Reston Medical Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of MRI procedures and departmental support functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct MRI examinations of the brain, body, spine, and extremities on patients of all ages, ensuring accurate scanning parameters for different patient body habitus.
- Determine appropriate equipment for scanning, including body coils, and adjust technical factors to enhance images.
- Identify gross pathology in the human body and adjust T1 and T2 scanning parameters to provide pertinent information for interpretation.
- Effectively perform Diffusion studies, MR Angiograms, reformats, and MIP imaging.
- Use magnetic resonance technology to minimize exposure to patients and self, following established protocols and scanning techniques.
Requirements:
- Minimum one year of experience as an MRI technologist or registry eligible ARRT advanced certification in MRI required; however, for new hires in classification must be obtained within 12 months of hire with one year recent experience as a Radiologic technologist with ARRT required.
- Graduate of an accredited radiology technology program or MRI Accredited Certificate Program required.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certificate - Magnetic Resonance Imaging within 12 months of hire OR American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists Certificate required.
