Qualifications for the Hair Care Specialist Role:
- Must possess a valid Cosmetology License in Pennsylvania.
- Proficient in standard cosmetology techniques (cutting, styling, coloring, etc.), as well as manicures, pedicures, and waxing services.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal.
- Exhibit kindness, courtesy, and sensitivity towards residents' needs.
- Respect for the rights and confidentiality of individuals.
Responsibilities of the Hair Care Specialist:
- Perform hair, scalp, and nail care tasks for residents and team members in accordance with state regulations.
- Identify and communicate any health and safety concerns to the appropriate coordinator.
- Ensure the return of personal items (e.g., eyeglasses, hearing aids) to the residents served.
- Adhere to emergency protocols and respond swiftly to ensure the safety of residents and staff.
- Promote safe working practices to maintain a secure work environment.
- Collaborate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues, demonstrating a willingness to work under supervision.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding resident information and organizational matters.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Salon Services Supervisor or Lead Stylist.
- Review daily schedules for accuracy and completeness.
