Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care and perform ultrasound procedures to the highest standard of practice.
- Contribute to a safe and quality-focused environment at the point of care.
- Educate patients on procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
- Implement safety standards and perform quality control procedures on equipment.
- Troubleshoot, resolve, and report equipment malfunctions as necessary.
- Analyze results and identify issues with imaging quality.
- Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist program or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program.
- Registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), Vascular Technologist (RVT), or Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or certified in Sonography (S) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer.
