Job Overview

The Regional Ministry Coordinator collaborates with the Director and Advisory Team to actualize the FCA Vision, pursue the FCA Mission, and embody the FCA Values by executing the ministry strategy for the designated region. Within the FCA Sports Environments, the Coordinator guarantees a unified approach to discipleship, fostering a culture of making disciples who, in turn, make disciples. The Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that the FCA ministry is conducted in alignment with biblical principles and complies with FCA policies and procedures.

MINISTERIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

These tasks are essential to the FCA mission, and this role is pivotal in our ministry. FCA anticipates that all functions and responsibilities outlined below will be performed with a heart dedicated to serving God as an act of worship.
  • Agree with and adhere to FCA's Christian Community Statement.
  • Maintain a spiritual rhythm that includes daily prayer and Bible study to seek the Lord's guidance for FCA.
  • Provide spiritual leadership for staff, volunteers, coaches, and athletes through prayer, Bible study, worship, and by living as an example to equip them to serve others.
  • Engage with and participate in a local church through worship and regular involvement.
  • Conduct oneself in a manner that upholds biblical standards of conduct in accordance with FCA's Christian beliefs at all times.
MINISTRY DEVELOPMENT
  • Engage, equip, and empower coaches and athletes through personal meetings, Huddles, and Events.
  • Train and equip staff and volunteers to empower coaches and athletes to become disciples who make disciples within the Sports Environments.
TALENT DEVELOPMENT
  • Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of effective and diverse volunteers who guide every coach and athlete into a deepening relationship with Jesus Christ and His church.
    • Recruit: Actively seek and attract highly qualified volunteers to the Sports Environments.
    • Train: Provide tools, resources, and training to enhance volunteers' skills and increase their capacity and competence to effectively fulfill their responsibilities.
    • Develop: Support volunteers in their roles and responsibilities by fostering their spiritual and personal growth.
ADVISORY TEAM ENGAGEMENT
  • Invite, involve, and invest in an Advisory Team committed to prayer, service, and financial support.
FINANCIAL PARTNERSHIP
  • Connect, communicate, and care for existing and prospective financial partners to achieve full funding.
  • Manage and oversee the finances for the designated area of responsibility.
  • Establish and implement an annual budget and funding strategy by expanding the Home Team, major donors, and events.
INTERNATIONAL ENGAGEMENT
  • Collaborate with the Director to serve the aligned International Region through prayer, giving, and active participation.
Additional Information

The applicant will serve in the FCA area of Catoosa and Walker counties in northwest Georgia. In collaboration with the Area Director, the position will involve attending school huddles, supporting Huddle Coaches, building relationships with student athletes, ministering to coaches, serving teams as a Chaplain/Character Coach, and assisting with area-wide events.
