Phlebotomy Specialist

At Aegis Sciences Corporation, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Specimen Collector I to join our team. As a Specimen Collector I, you will play a critical role in collecting biological specimens from clients for scientific testing.

• Sample Collection: Collect biological specimens, including blood, from clients in a fast-paced environment while maintaining the highest level of quality and confidentiality.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records for reporting purposes, including sample collection, labeling, and shipping.
• Client Communication: Foster open communication with clients, providing excellent customer service and addressing any questions or concerns.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable safety requirements, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain required compliance training.
• Supply Management: Order supplies and manage budget with Regional Sales Manager and Area Sales Manager as required.
• Insurance Verification: Verify insurance information through Passport as needed.
• Payment Collection: Request and collect payments from patients as applicable.
• Team Collaboration: Maintain regular communication with Regional Sales Manager and Area Sales Manager, and support their marketing and sales objectives.

• Education: High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience: Completion of a phlebotomy training program or a minimum of three (3) years of experience in blood collection required.
• Certification: Must meet state requirements for phlebotomy certification (where required).
• Skills: Excellent customer service skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and basic computer knowledge, including email management and web navigation.
