Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Technician I to join our team at CoreSite. As a Data Center Technician I, you will play a critical role in ensuring the operational integrity, security, and regulatory compliance of our assigned data center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the day-to-day operations of the data center, including security functions, general site response, and customer interaction.
  • Learn and gain experience through assisting more experienced data center technicians.
  • Identify and repair data center problems quickly, ensuring that contractors deliver quality services and internal customer demands are met.
  • Monitor and respond to mechanical, electrical, fire protection, and security systems, including transformers, PLCs, generators, switchgear, UPS systems, STS', ATS', PDU's, chilled water systems, CRAC/CRAH's, wet sprinkler systems, and pre-action sprinkler systems.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and internal staff, and escalate data center incidents and respond to alarms as needed.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or greater.
  • 1+ years of experience in either customer service or security industry.
  • Experience in a mission critical facility is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a high stress, fast paced environment with shifting priorities.
  • Ability to work outside normal business hours, including weekends, late nights, holidays, and on-call support.
