Job Title: After-School Art Instructor

Company Description:

KidzArt is a renowned fine arts education program that offers a comprehensive curriculum aligned with the National Standards for Visual Arts. Our program is designed to foster creative self-expression and confidence in students through a unique drawing method and format.

Job Description:

We are seeking a part-time After-School Art Instructor to lead elementary school students through our KidzArt lessons. No prior art experience is necessary, but candidates must be confident in their drawing skills and comfortable making mistakes. We provide the training and supplies, and you provide your experience working with children and a positive personality.

Typical Schedule:

Candidates must be willing to work 2 hours a day, from 1:30-3:30 pm, 3-5 times a week, minimum. This position is ideal for retired teachers and college students who have experience working with children.

Qualifications:

  • Some college education
  • Experience working with groups of children, teaching experience a plus
  • Art appreciation and/or related skills
  • Comfortable drawing in front of students
  • Strong communication skills
  • Patience and ability to work with children and seniors
  • Ability to lift and carry at least 25 pounds
  • No allergies to standard KidzArt art materials and supplies
  • Dependable transportation
  • Residency in Palm Beach County

Requirements:

  • Successfully complete KidzArt Certification Training
  • Attend bi-monthly meetings to review class work and new methods
  • Dress professionally
  • Commit to the school year (through May)
