Job Summary

The Citywide Clinical Trainer is a key role in providing clinical supervision, documentation review, and consultation to DAAS funded case management staff in community-based organizations across San Francisco.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical supervision and guidance to case management staff to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain and assist with program records and reports to ensure accurate data collection and analysis.
  • Be available for risk management and case consultation by phone to support staff in making informed decisions.
  • Assist the clinical team in assessing educational needs and developing an education and training plan for staff.
  • Meet with the Clinical Director weekly to provide updates on program progress and challenges.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with program consumers, community providers, and stakeholders to ensure effective program delivery.
  • Stay current on changes in San Francisco community aging services, Medi-Cal, and Medicare regulations that impact program direction.
  • Organize, conduct, and co-facilitate regular group and individual supervision meetings to support staff growth and development.
  • Participate in planning, developing, and evaluating annual goals and objectives relevant to program policies and procedures in collaboration with the Program Director and Associate Director.
  • Complete annual organizational and program compliance trainings as required.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) or a comparable or related social services discipline.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in clinical supervision and clinical skills to support professional growth and development and improve clinical outcomes.
  • 1 year of supervisory experience in a healthcare or community-based setting.
  • Demonstrated understanding of community-based resources and long-term care support services.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and manage multiple and diverse professional relationships.
  • Clinical expertise in trauma-informed services, harm reduction, and motivational interviewing.
  • Proficient computer literacy skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT licensure.
  • Broad understanding of community-based health, social services, and pertinent policy.
  • Ability to identify and develop new funding streams and partners.
  • 2 years of experience working with disabled and/or elderly adults.
  • 1 year of supervisory experience in a healthcare or community-based setting.
  • 1 year of experience in training facilitation and curriculum development.
  • Bilingual language skills.
