Job Summary:

The Fleet Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of fleet vehicles, leading a team of diesel technicians, and ensuring compliance with company, federal, and state regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direction to on-site technicians to ensure safe, efficient, and timely repair work.
  • Oversee coordination, planning, and scheduling of repair work to increase productivity and monitor shop performance.
  • Provide hands-on maintenance assistance and training to ensure personal and professional growth for technicians.
  • Maintain an ongoing preventative maintenance program to set the standard for service excellence and identify trends in road calls and break downs.
  • Perform inspections of outside repairs and maintenance to ensure compliance with company safety and compliance procedures and federal and state regulations.
  • Maintain advanced knowledge of engine, emission systems, transmission, brake, hydraulic, and electrical systems of company vehicles.
  • Manage professional business relationships with external vendors and maintain knowledge of all equipment warranties.
  • Demonstrate effective leadership skills and ensure compliance with all applicable corporate, federal, and state rules and regulations.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED and legal eligibility to work in the United States.
  • 5 or more years of experience and 3 years of leadership experience.
  • Relevant certifications in safety training and process improvements.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and strong customer service orientation.
  • Proficiency with computer programs, including Microsoft Office applications.
