Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Lead Technician to join our team at Kroger. As a Pharmacy Lead Technician, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, training and mentoring new hires, and ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide and train others to provide exceptional customer service to help people live healthier lives.
  • Provide direct patient intervention by providing health and wellness services and experiences relevant to the patient.
  • Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.
  • Lead a high-performing pharmacy team by setting clear expectations, providing guidance and support, and promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Assist pharmacist in all responsibilities except those that require a pharmacist's professional judgment.
  • Train and mentor new hire technicians on day-to-day training and support for pharmacy associates.
  • Ensure execution of department standards by leading by example and delegating as necessary.
  • Serve as the primary representative for store-wide meetings and huddles.
  • Help create and manage scheduling and station rotation for the hourly staff per labor forecasts.
  • Oversee inventory management, including reconciling orders, returns, and physical inventory preparation.
  • Act as pharmacy safety subject matter expert and coach to correctness as appropriate.
  • Prepare for off-site Business to Business clinics to support pharmacist.
  • Comply with and reinforce all sanitation and safety regulations, guidelines, procedures, and programs according to company, local, state, and federal health code regulations.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must be professional, dependable, possess a positive attitude, good judgment, and be able to gain the support of others to lead a high-performing pharmacy team.
  • Self-motivated, able to organize, prioritize, plan, and meet deadlines.
  • Desired: 1 year or more of previous experience in a management or supervisory role, support company health and wellness initiatives, understand and adhere to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations, maintain a current state registration, certification, or license depending on state requirements.
