SecureSky is a leading provider of cloud and hybrid cybersecurity solutions, focusing on the enhancement and optimization of XDR platforms and managed security services such as Managed Detection and Response (MDR) and Continuous Threat Exposure Management (CTEM).

This role is a full-time, permanent position based in our Omaha, Nebraska office.

The ideal candidate will serve as a cybersecurity threat specialist, actively monitoring and responding to potential threats within client IT infrastructures to thwart cyber-attacks.

Key Responsibilities:

The selected individual will engage with various client environments on a weekly basis. Responsibilities encompass:

  • Conducting threat assessments and proactive hunting for vulnerabilities.
  • Addressing security alerts and incidents.
  • Documenting findings from investigations and reviews.
  • Creating queries and enhancing investigative capabilities informed by threat intelligence and current attack trends.
  • Generating and presenting client reports that detail risk assessments, threat discoveries, relevant attack strategies, recommendations for security enhancements, and updates on XDR functionalities.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

The primary focus of this role will be on investigating threats identified in client environments. Beneficial skills and experiences include:

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent, ideally with a focus on cybersecurity.
  • Hands-on experience in threat analysis and/or incident management.
  • Understanding of prevalent attack vectors, threat intelligence metrics, and security technologies.
  • Aptitude for formulating queries to analyze log data for detection, analysis, and reporting purposes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with clients and thorough internal documentation, along with a commitment to client engagement.
