Position Overview:
As a Registered Nurse specializing in Long-Term Care, you will be responsible for addressing the comprehensive physical and emotional needs of elderly patients. Your role is crucial in enhancing their functional capabilities while ensuring their overall health and well-being.

Work Schedule:
The shift for this position is from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with flexibility required for various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate the continuous care needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to evaluate and implement patient care strategies.
  • Administer and document prescribed medications, reporting any adverse reactions in line with nursing protocols.
  • Monitor and record vital signs and medical histories of patients.
  • Assess patients' capabilities in performing daily activities.
  • Assist patients with essential tasks such as dressing, eating, and personal hygiene, promoting their independence.
  • Identify and manage common geriatric syndromes, including cardiovascular and neurological issues.
  • Prepare medical equipment and assist physicians during patient examinations.
  • Encourage active participation of older adults in their healthcare decisions.
  • Educate and involve family members in best practices for elder care.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all patient care activities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned based on the care setting.

Qualifications:
Candidates must possess:

  • A degree from an accredited nursing program.
  • A valid nursing license in good standing.
  • At least one year of recent experience in Long-Term Care.
  • Current BLS certification.
