The Food Service Operations Lead plays a pivotal role in overseeing one of the mobile order quick service concepts within the dining services department. This position is essential for ensuring that all orders are processed accurately and efficiently, maintaining the high standards expected by the University of Nebraska's dining services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to enhance the dining experience.
  • Ensure food quality consistently meets or exceeds established standards.
  • Delegate daily tasks and responsibilities to student workers and staff during shifts.
  • Supervise operations in the kitchen, dish room, and dining areas.
  • Provide training to student workers and staff on recipes, production techniques, and dining service standards.
  • Perform various tasks across all areas, including setup, closure of stations, food production, restocking, daily food preparation, cashiering, inventory management, food waste control, and maintaining cleanliness.
This role involves direct interaction with customers, addressing and resolving any concerns that may arise. The position requires flexibility, including weekend and evening shifts.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma with three years of experience in food preparation, demonstrating mastery of all kitchen tasks. Proficiency in reading, writing, and measuring is essential. Candidates must exhibit the ability to train and lead others, with the capacity to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 100 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications:
Flexibility, strong communication skills, and a collaborative spirit are preferred. Supervisory experience is also advantageous.
