Job Title: LAC Specialist

At Klamath Basin Behavioral Health, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate LAC Specialist to join our team. As an LAC Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to consumers at the Link Access Center, including those in sobering and hold programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Client Care: Monitor and assist sobering and hold clients, ensuring their safety and well-being, while providing psycho-social interventions when needed.
  • Service Delivery: Provide basic services such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, and coordinating follow-up services with mental health and substance use disorder (SUD) programs.
  • Medication Administration: Administer medications and perform basic nursing duties under the supervision of a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) in compliance with state regulations.
  • Treatment Plan Implementation: Collaborate with the interdisciplinary treatment team to implement Individual Service Plans (ISPs) and provide therapeutic interventions as prescribed.
  • Discharge Planning: Facilitate discharge processes for clients, including completing necessary paperwork and coordinating follow-up care.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain detailed, accurate electronic health records, documenting services, activities, and client progress as required by state and county regulations.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with medical, rehabilitation, and social service staff to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for clients.
  • Emergency Management: Lead or assist in managing behavioral emergencies, ensuring a secure and safe environment for clients and staff.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA) certification, meeting one of the following:
  • Bachelor's degree in a behavioral science field.
  • A combination of at least three years of relevant work, education, or training.
