Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator - Packaging Specialist to join our team at our West Jefferson, OH facility. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating high-speed packaging equipment, ensuring product quality, and maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Adhere to safe work practices, policies, and procedures, and report any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, quality, or personnel safety.
  2. Operate case packers, accumulating conveyor, line control device, case coder, sleever, cappers, and/or robots, ensuring proper operations and changeovers.
  3. Fill in for other Packaging Machine Operators during lunches and breaks.
  4. Troubleshoot equipment issues as needed.
  5. Set up equipment and material for production runs.
  6. Conduct and record quality checks and downtime events in a timely fashion using Redzone.
  7. Foster open communication and a positive attitude towards work and fellow employees.
  8. Maintain regular and consistent attendance.
  9. Operate a manual pallet jack.
  10. Manage inventory consumptions or creation in the inventory management system.
  11. Alert the Supervisor to major mechanical problems and report system abnormalities to reduce the risk of damage to the system or product.

  13. Attend and actively participate in safety meetings and trainings.
  14. Ensure Food Safety and Food Quality of MFI products.
  15. Demonstrate proper handling and usage of cleaning agents.
  16. Train new hires as required.
  17. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements

We are looking for an individual with experience in food manufacturing and GMPs, as well as high-speed packaging equipment or experience with palletizing robotic arms. A strong understanding of safety procedures and the ability to read, write, and comprehend shift change instructions, short correspondence, and procedure manuals is essential.
